Where it started
DFW has thousands of roofers competing for the same searches. When the work started the site had almost no search presence, a few hundred impressions a month and no page-one rankings for the terms that matter. Breaking onto the first page in a market this size is measured in months, not days. The Business Profile had not been posted to since late 2023.
What we did
- Service pages rebuilt for how DFW homeowners search: storm damage, insurance claims, specific roof types.
- City pages for the towns the company serves across the metroplex.
- Business Profile restarted with regular posts, photos from real jobs, and a review ask.
- Technical fixes and internal linking to pass authority to the pages that need to rank.
How it happened
Page one where it counts, in one of the toughest markets
Dallas-Fort Worth is one of the most competitive roofing markets in the country, with thousands of companies bidding for the same searches. Getting a site onto the first page here is hard and slow. This one is there. Over the last 90 days it holds an average position of 1.7 for "roofing", sits on page one for "roofing companies near me", "roofing company near me", and "southlake roofers", and page two for "commercial roofing". Those are the searches homeowners and property managers type when they need a roofer, and they are the ones that turn into calls.
Visibility grew from almost nothing
When the work started the site was barely visible, showing up for roughly 900 searches in February. By March that had jumped to 48,710 as the new service and city pages were indexed, and it has held between 32,000 and 40,000 impressions a month since. That is Google putting the site in front of tens of thousands of local searchers every month. Clicks follow rankings: as the remaining terms climb from page two and three onto page one, the click volume rises with them. The rankings are the leading indicator, and for the terms that matter most they are already on page one.
